Registrar’s Division

The Registrar’s Division at the Vaal University of Technology occupies a central and pivotal role within the operations of the university. It is, firstly, responsible for the strategic enrolment management which encompasses the student’s value-chain from recruitment and the enrolment funnel to registrations, examinations, graduations and convocation/alumni. It is secondly, responsible for ensuring that a framework and an enabling environment obtain for Council to effectively exercise its oversight and fiduciary role. This it achieves through governance advising and administration, and through policy risk and compliance management. The division is thirdly also responsible for student judicial services, ITS student module development and maintenance, maintaining student records and dealing with fraud and verification services. The Registrar is an integral part of Senior Management and is the Secretary to Council with a dual reporting line: to the vice-Chancellor and Principal and to the Chairperson of Council.
