ABSA LENDS A HELPING HAND TO VUT
Absa has donated R 415 000 as a sponsorship for the creation of the hockey field and improving of the rugby, soccer and cricket fields at VUT’s Isak Steyl stadium. Vaal University of Technology in support of Absa continues to be a trend-setter in ensuring that our youth is catered for, in terms of sporting activities, equipments as well as facilities to keep them off the street and refrain from engaging in criminal activities.

Vaal University Academic, O Okubena from the Faculty of Management Sciences, Accountancy department, presented a paper titled "South African Equity Market Reaction to the 2010 World Cup Announcement" at the Academic and Business Research Institute Conference in Orlando, USA in September 2009.

VUT LAUNCHES THE AFRICAN JOURNAL FOR PHYSICAL, HEALTH EDUCATION, RECREATION AND DANCE

On 7 October 2009, the Authors of the African Journal for Physical, Health Education, Recreation and Dance, who are mostly staff in the Faculty of Management Sciences, proudly gathered at the VIP lounge at the Isak Steyl Stadium, to witness an historic occasion - the launch of the journal they had worked tirelessly to bring into existence.
