The WIL registration fee R1 445.00 per semester. The fee can be paid at the VUT Finance Department or it can be paid directly into the bank account.

The WIL registration form MUST be accompanied by proof of payment before any registration will take place. Upon submission of the registration form, the logbook/studyguide can be downloaded from the Co-operative Education website under "Work Integrated Learning".
A student MUST register within one month from the date of starting with the P1/P2. Students are not allowed to register P1 and P2 simultaneously. The following reports must be submitted to the Co-operative Education Department during the 12 months training period:
P1: (Pages refer to studyguide for WIL)
- Registration (page 4)
- Progress report (page 5 - 8)
- Final report (page 9 - 15)
P2: (Pages refer to studyguide for WIL)
- Registration (page 4)
- Progress report (page 5 - 8)
- Final report (page 9 - 15)
- Project report (page 16)
All these reports MUST be signed by the student as well as the mentor. The Evaluation form must be completed by the mentor with the company stamp. If no stamp is available, the mentor must sign on the space allocated for the stamp.
After the 12 months training, and after ALL the necessary reports have been submitted to the Co-operative Education Department, the student is allowed to apply for his/her National Diploma on condition that all the necessary subjects are completed. Application for Diploma can be made at S105. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the students ID as well as the covering letter from the company.
