VUT Hosts Transformation summit

The Vaal University of Technology will be hosting its Transformation Summit, 06 – 07 December 2010. The summit follows the Higher Education Transformation summit held in Cape Town this year. The summit will draw participation from internal and external stakeholders including Unions, Students, Community Based Organizations, Local Municipalities and Youth Organizations.

  It is intended that the summit will address the following objectives:

 To assess the University’s progress on transformation since the publication of the White Paper 3, A Programme for the transformation of higher education.

To conceptualize VUT’s transformation roadmap reflective of the views, perspectives and concerns of the broader community of the University.

To discuss the Cape Town’s summit declarations and develop the University’s transformation position statement and commitment.
