Heralding a new start for 2008/09 season, Jomo Cosmos F.C will be utilizing the VUT Isak Steyl Stadium as its home ground. On Monday, 8 September 2008, Jomo Sono: Jomo Cosmos Chairman made an official announcement of their partnership with VUT. Present were trustees and players of Jomo Cosmos F.C and management of VUT.

The partnership between Jomo Cosmos F.C and VUT will provide an opportunity for players and supporters from the Region South of Gauteng and beyond, to become part of a club renowned for developing some of South Africa’s players.  Mr Jomo Sono sees this partnership as a beginning of a long term relationship with the Vaal University of Technology.

As a university, VUT is committed to social engagement; it therefore not only aims to make use of the partnership for the gains of the players, but also the community of the Vaal. Prof Moutlana indicated that there are relevant short courses available which the players can enroll for at VUT.  She further alluded to the fact that VUT, through the Centre of Sustainable Livelihood can analyze dietary needs for the players. Most importantly Jomo Cosmos F.C is assured the best training facilities at all times.
