LONG SERVICE AWARDS AT VUT Print Email
Vaal University of Technology had the long service awards on 13 November 2008 at the Desmond Tutu Great Hall in the campus.
The event was attended by Professor Irene Moutlana Vice Chancellor and Principal of the institution, members of the rectorate, staff and recipients of awards.The awards were awarded to staff members who have sacrificed and dedicated their lives in support of the University throughout the years.

for being an employee with the longest service of thirty five years.

Mr. Labuschagne received his award for a record of thirty five years in absentia.
Professor Irene Moutlana commended the recipients of awards for their bravery, dedication and commitment.  She saluted their unquestionable loyalty to the University and their unconditional love for their loved ones at home.  She reminded all in attendance that, parents have a responsibility to protect, love and provide for their children. She indicated that, recipients of awards were exemplary to those parents who knew and understood their roles.
