Registrar Information regarding the May, June and July Examinations and Registrations Senate at one of its meetings in 2009, approved the dual examinations system to be piloted as from the upcoming examination session. In preparation for the implementation of this decision of Senate, the following arrangements have been made: Guidelines: The following guidelines will be adhered to: All examination rules and regulations as approved by Senate will apply in this examination session as well. Students will be presented with 2 opportunities to write any of the examination papers they qualify for. All students who opted to write during the first opportunity may also be allowed to enter for the second opportunity only under the following conditions:
Any student who qualifies to write an examination but fails to write during either of the opportunities due to illness will be given an opportunity to retain their year mark for the next examination session. The normal procedures and period allowed for marking will be adhered to, this is essential as publication of marks will happen continuously as marks are approved. Students are advised to check their results on a daily basis. These will be published on notice boards, intranet, and through SMS service. All students who failed the first opportunity will automatically qualify to write the second opportunity. All arrangements as outlined above also hold for Delivery Sites. Regards Registrar
