Fully qualified psychologists are available to assist students.  The following problems are handled, for example:

1. Problems adapting to hostel life.

2. Problems with friends.

3. Family problems.

4. Love-related problems.

5. Conflict between you and a lecturer.

6. Emotional problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, etc.

7. Life’s demands that may cause; you to feel desperate and inadequate.

Other psychological and/or emotional problems are also dealt with either on an individual basis or in a group setting.

HIV/AIDS counseling

The HIV test is unlike any other test.  It carries with it enormous emotional, practical and social implications.  Our policy is that no HIV-test should ever be given without appropriate pre- and post counseling.  This also involves follow-up support in the case of positive results.  In the event that clients need more intensive psychological support, they are referred to professional counselors at Student Counseling & Support for follow-up.
