Developing a PQM (Programmes and Qualifications Mix)/Curriculum that meets the meeds of society in Africa and beyond.

The emphasis on technology, research, innovation,, internationalisation and comcareer-focused diploma and degree programmes is designed to prepare students for entrepreneurship and the world of work.  Many programmes include practical experience in the work place (Work Integrated Learning) so that students “hit the-ground running” when they graduate. The University interacts closely with industry and community to ensure the relevance of its programmes and qualifications, as well as the employability of its graduates. Our major challenges currently are access to adequate computer bandwidth and high student debt due to our rural location.

Our research and technology focus is in the fields of renewable energy, biotechnology, sustainable livelihoods and manufacturing.
