VUT PAPER A WINNER IN THE BEST PAPER OF TRACK AWARD AT US CONFERENCE

Vaal University Academic, O Okubena from the Faculty of Management Sciences, Accountancy department, presented a paper titled "South African Equity Market Reaction to the 2010 World Cup Announcement" at the Academic and Business Research Institute Conference in Orlando, USA in September 2009.

The paper, which was co-authored by J Surujlal (Vaal University of Technology) and P Obi (Purdue University, Indiana), won the award for the best paper in the Accounting/Finance track.
