As from July 2010, Vaal University of Technology (VUT) students have an opportunity to collaborate with any person worldwide through Google Apps for Education. Google Apps offer services such as: email, instant messaging, contact management, calendar, space for shared documents, and online document creation. VUT Intrduces MyVUT Student LMS Powerd by Sakai MyVUT Sakai is an open-source collaboration and learning environment aimed at helping instructors, researchers, and students to create websites for collaboration. It features tools such as discussion forums, assessments, portfolios, assignments, blogs, announcements, web-based tools to distribute electronic resources and much more.
