The Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Autumn graduations have been nothing but an overwhelming experience, especially for those in the Faculty of Management Sciences where Ntiyiso Baloyi, a Sports Management graduate, received a Vice-Chancellor’s award as well as the Council Award for best overall student.
This is the House of Roleen floating trophy given to the student with the highest average on a completed qualification at the University.
Because of her hard work, her name will now be added to the VUT’s history books. She said: “I never took criticism from my peers as criticism; I took it as a motivation to keep me going forward and never looking back. When you procrastinate, you should always know that time waits for no man.”
Zinhle Dlamini was the only Marketing Management student who obtained her Magister Technologiae Cum Laude and also scooped the Vice-Chancellor’s award. She said that she is truly honoured to receive such an award and encourages other students to work hard because hard work really does pay off.
Such achievements should serve as a motivation for other students from the Faculty of Management Sciences.
