This year seems to be a great one for the Vaal University of Technology Human Resource Management Department and its latest accolade is for Bachelor of Technology Human Resource Management student, Ms Dineo Seopela, who achieved second place in the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP) HR Excellence Award for 2016.

This is a national competition held amongst the top HRM students from all universities in the country. Nominees are evaluated on their academic performance, leadership, community involvement, presentation and interview skills. “We are very proud of Dineo. She is a true ambassador of the Department, the Faculty and VUT,” said Dr Pierre Joubert HoD.

In July, the HRM Department was awarded the best HR standards in a university against all universities in South Africa.
