Celebrating decades of academic excellence

Vaal University of technology (VUT) will confer qualifications upon approximately 2689 students in celebration of their hard earned success in all four faculties on 3-12 April 2017. The Faculties will award qualifications ranging from certificates, diplomas and degrees as follows: Applied and Computer Sciences (466), Engineering and Technology (719), Human Sciences (422) and Management Sciences (1082). Students will graduate on 3-7 April at Vanderbijlpark Campus.

VUT Satellite Campuses will graduate students as follows:
Ekurhuleni on 10 April, Secunda on 11 April and Upington on 12 April 2017.

A graduation ceremony is a joyous occasion and celebration of years of successful study at the University by students. It is the time for students to reflect on the good times on Campus while reaping the fruits of their hard work. It’s time for families to share in the achievements and celebratory festivities with their loved ones.

VUT, which draws its students from 29 countries in the world, has a reputable image of producing qualified professionals who go out to make remarkable contribution to the South African economy and that of the globe at large. The students are armed with both theoretical knowledge and practical work experience which place them at an advantageous side with employers. They are employed and absorbed into all sectors of industry including public, private and small enterprises. They occupy positions of authority and play influential roles in this organisations.

In 2016, VUT received full accreditation from the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Our engineering graduates are respected all over the world for their exceptional work in the field.

The graduation ceremonies will be attended by all stakeholders which include and not limited to students, parents, guardians, families, alumni, business partners, government officials and Council.
