VUT Secunda Campus Library
The Library at Secunda Campus provides library and information services to both students and staff members in support of teaching, learning, and research. Following facilities are available for use by all registered clients at Secunda Campus Library. The library serves about 1012 students, and about 40 staff members situated on the campus. A small collection of about 2400 books is available that is biased towards courses offered on the campus i.e.
Cost & Management Accounting
The library is staffed by one qualified professional librarian and one library assistant.
Services & Facilities
The services provided includes: research consultations, training on using library resources and products, photocopying and printing facilities, closed access collection for prescribed books, loan services, inter library loans, library induction, assistance with searches, and a small study area. There are other computers opposite the circulation desk and at the entrance of the library and are used on a first come basis. To Access Electronic Resources click here
Collections & Arrangement
Books from the Open Shelves are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification and can be loaned and taken out of the library, for a specific period depending on the user type. While books from Reserve and Reference collection cannot be loaned out but can be used inside the library. Books at the reserve include only prescribed or recommended material and can be loaned for a maximum of two hours.
The library has a service counter, and this is the point where clients can return, renew or loan material provided they have a valid ID card. Loan periods are the same as that of main campus library.
