Jubilation and excitement overcame Grace Nyota whom was receiving her Baccalaureus Technologiae (B-Tech) in Cost and Management Accounting from the Faculty of Management Sciences on 10 April. Not only was she receiving an achievement she’d worked so hard for, but she was also receiving a surprise that would change her life, when her partner decided to propose to her, right after she walked out of the graduation hall – in front of all her peers.
Grace Nyota from the Democratic Republic of Congo first enrolled at the Vaal University of Technology VUT in 2012 to study Financial Information Systems (FIS). She later changed her mind and decided to study Cost and Management Accounting (CMA) in 2014 and she went on to get her National Diploma in 2016. Grace has an insatiable appetite for education and took the decision to further her studies. She then enrolled in 2017 to pursue her B-Tech in CMA which she successfully completed.
