It’s that time of the year where people take into account their future plans and find ways to make most of their year. The Vaal University of Technology is proud to have another year where it will produce top quality, employable and entrepreneurial graduates who can impact society in different ways.
This year’s registration process so far has been fruitful and smooth running seeing students registering in different faculties of their choice. VUT’s targeted intake is 4 500 first year students. Those who completed their matric last year were excited to be at the university for the first time – officialising their status as a university student. One student who we interviewed, Refilwe Matshidiso from Klerksdorp, couldn’t wait to have her name being called forward to continue with the registration. “I am looking forward to being a student at VUT and I only wish to do well in my studies, in the field of Electrical Engineering,” she said.
Some of the learners came with their parents for support although most of the parents wished to have the registration process over, it was a proud moment for them to see how far their children have come. A lot of them promised to give full support to their children in order for them to do well in their studies.
As VUT is the university that leads in innovative knowledge and quality technology education, it welcomes back senior students. To all the new students, we’d like to say, welcome to the MaVuti family, this is YOUR world, to a better future!
