VUT Ekurhuleni campus is relocating to Daveyton in 2014

With VUT’s rapid expansion underway, this is a good sign that we are on the path to making VUT a bigger and better place for a conducive teaching and learning environment that we all can be proud of.

We have witnessed our campus transform from the old to the new with the erection of new modern architectural styled building, furnished by state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, but plans to better our facilities does not only remain at the main campus.

In recent months plans have been underway with intensive behind the scenes negotiation for our Ekurhuleni campus to move to Daveyton. This comes in the light of the growing demand for a contact university in the Ekurhuleni region. The Daveyton campus (previously Vista University) was subsequently given to Unisa. Currently there are occupational plans in place for the collaboration and joint utilization of the Daveyton campus by VUT and Unisa. A task team from both universities have been established to finalise the joint utilization of the space and facilities of this campus. Further details regarding the move will be released once the plans are finalised. Watch this space.
