VUT EXPLORES POSSIBLE COLLABORATION WITH LANDMARK UNIVERSITY, A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN NIGERIA

Recently, Dr Hendrick Langa, a Research Coordinator in the Vaal University of Technology (VUT)’s Department of Electrical Engineering attended and presented a paper at the IEEE International Conference on Science, Engineering, and Business for Driving Sustainable Development Goals (SEB4SDG) 2023 in Landmark University at the Omu-Aran Kwara State, Nigeria.
At the conference, Dr Langa presented a paper that he co-authored with his Postdoctoral student, Dr Moloi, titled “High Impedance Fault Detection Scheme with the Penetration of Distributed Generation.”
During the conference, he had the privilege of meeting the Vice Chancellor, Prof Charity Aremu and the Dean of the College of Pure and Applied Sciences, Prof Ayodele Adebiyi and he also submitted his application for an appointment as a visiting scholar at Landmark university.
In their discussions a number of collaboration opportunities were discussed such as student exchanges, inaugural lecture by the Space Physics academic, Prof Abedesin and many other possibilities. These talks come at a time when VUT is engaged in ongoing efforts to boost its co-operation and partnerships with its international peers – something which is underpinned by one of its strategic objectives of strengthening international university alliances.
VUT looks forward to a lasting relationship with the Nigerian private university, Landmark University.
