VUT-SASOL Entrepreneurship Programme Orientation

On July 21, the VUT Southern Gauteng Science and Technology Park, hosted an orientation for the fourth cohort of the VUT-SASOL Entrepreneurship Programme.

The aspiring entrepreneurs were stunned to have been granted the opportunity of being part of the programme and were inspired and motivated by the VUT management and community members.

Various entrepreneurs from all walks of life came to share their success stories and to offer words of encouragement and commited themselves to supporting the programme to make it a success.

Dr Joe Molete, Executive Director of the Science and Technology Park, addressed the candidates and assured them that they would reap the fruits of the programme if they put in an effort and believe in their ideas.

Amongst other speakers, was Mr Bones Modise, an entrepreneur and the Secretary of the National Youth League, and Ms BA Nhlapo, who is a young entrepreneur and TV presenter on SABC 2’s “It’s for life”. They both inspired the students and shared the same sentiments that in order to be a successful entrepreneur, one needs be innovative, work hard and never give up no matter the challenges.
