Vaal University of Technology’s Alumni Relations’ Comfort Madalane and Peter Masombuka hosted an exquisite event for students on Valentine’s Day, under the theme Campus Love Vibes with Nthabiseng Somoro from VUT FM as the MC of the show.
The event, from 12 noon to 1pm started with a dance-off competition which saw students arrive with happy faces while showing off their dancing skills. Mr Masombuka, HOD: Alumni Relations, welcomed both the first -year and the senior students warmly and encouraged the students to make use of the Corporate Communications office in terms of coverage for their events and other specific activities that needs support from Corporate Affairs.
Even VUT FM Station Manager, Mr Ndongeni Mxolisi got into the groove and gave students a splendid singing performance.
Lehlogonolo Mokhomo, Josephine kokoi and Felicia Leemisa from Vaal Triangle Computers and Books, were also part of the entertainment and offered prizes: two students won themselves a boat cruise. The Institutional HIV/AIDS Unit head officer, Vincent Mdluli also had gifts to give away if students could answer questions based on love!
“I enjoyed the event, it was very entertaining, and I wish it lasted longer than it did,” said student Ogone Ditire.
