Ms Mbali Nhlapo Miss VUTFM 2015

VUT FM held its annual Miss VUTFM contest on 17 October 2015 at the Desmond Tutu Great Hall where they crowned Mbali Nhlapo Miss VUTFM 2015. The event was graced by sponsors, parents and students who came to support the 11 beautiful contestants.

Ms Nhlapo, a 23-year-old Biotechnology student was also voted Miss Confidence/Personality 2015. She described herself as an observant person who enjoys meeting new people. Ms Ntombizodwa Radebe was crowned first princess while Ms Ntabeleng Mohashoa, took second. Another winner on the night was Ms Joy Baloyi who was named Miss Swimwear.

Contestants expressed maturity in the responses to the judges’ questions and a clear understanding of how they would lead this country if given the chance. Their passion was rewarded with lots of prizes. Entertainment was offered by a number of young artists, including the one-and-only NaakMusiq who wowed the crowds late into the evening.

The Miss VUT FM 2015 was a great success and thanks to all the sponsors.
