WHAT IS BCESSO?

Building and Civil Engineering Student Society Organisation (BCESSO) is a recognised student chapter of the South African Institute of Civil Engineering (SAICE) with the following functions:

• Representation of all Civil Engineering students in the department, faculty and the university;
• Engage the students with SAICE regional and national office activities;
• Foster unity and collaboration in pursuit of excellence in academic matters;
• Provide student driven solutions to challenges faced in and out of the classroom;
• Provide industry related information for engaging in the world of Civil Engineering;
• Provide mentorship through peer-to-peer assistance and industry experts; and
• Organise student activities to give Civil Engineering students a full experience of learning and recreation.
